About the Contest

India is home to countless mythological stories and characters that have inspired and captivated audiences worldwide for centuries. In this contest, we are focusing on one such legend from Hindu Mythology, called, ‘Sheshnag’. He is the mighty serpent king known for his great wisdom, and has played significant roles in Hindu mythology, including his association with Lord Vishnu and the epic tale of Samudra Manthan.

With ‘India’s Biggest Writing Contest 2024’ we are looking for stories that bring the character of Sheshnag in a modern 21st century setting.

Write a 750-word story that reimagines Sheshnag in today’s world and submit it on VED for a chance to see your story brought to the BIG SCREEN!
